Why we built this
Pitch — called Setback in the Northeast and High-Low-Jack at plenty of kitchen tables — has been played in American homes for well over a century. It deals fast, scores in four points, and rewards nerve as much as memory. But finding a table online meant clunky interfaces, pay-to-win gimmicks, or rules that didn't match the game you grew up with. We built pitch.ac to fix that: the real game, dealt properly, free to play in your browser.
How the game is run
Games play 4-point Pitch to 11: High, Low, Jack, and Game, with bids from 2 to 4 and the high bidder naming trump with their lead. Tables seat 2 to 8 players, house rules cover the arguments every family has (stick the dealer, strict follow-suit, how Low is scored), and our AI opponents fill empty seats so a game always starts. Nothing about the deal, the shuffle, or the scoring is ever tilted — the AI plays by the same rules and sees only its own hand.
How we keep the lights on
Pitch Online is free to play, supported by an optional Pitch Club membership (cosmetics, ad-free play, and members-only tournaments every Wednesday and Sunday night) and a single ad panel after games for everyone else. No pay-to-win, no energy timers, no locked features that change the card game itself.
